On August 25, I was fortunate enough to guest host on KNBR 680, The Sports Leader! It was a little nerve-racking being in such a renowned radio station, but I was able to hold my own for a little over an hour of sports talk. I took several calls and mainly stayed on topics surrounding San Francisco Giants baseball. Listening to it again, I can definitely tell I was nervous in the beginning. By the second half, however, I was feeling great and didn’t want to leave!
Honestly, sitting in that studio with a mic in front of my face felt oddly familiar now that we’ve been doing Cinema Recon for a full year! Still, it was certainly different not talking about movies or trading quips with Jake. If you listen carefully though, you may hear a few CR references from myself and some familiar voices!
This was truly a dream come true for me, as I’ve been listening to KNBR in the bay area all my life. I cannot begin to describe how much fun it was, and I only wish that radio was a full-time gig for me! Ah well, time will tell…
